My work is mostly driven by material curiosity, something ceramics particularly lends itself to.
Mikayla “Breeze” Sousae recently completed a BFA from Emily Carr University with a major in Critical and Cultural Practice and a focus in ceramics. She was mentored by multi-disciplinary artist Charlotte Wall. Following her degree, she worked as a gallery assistant for Paul Kyle Gallery before moving to Montréal where she is currently based. Though more recently interested in ceramics, she has worked across mediums of painting, metal work, and writing.
